I do so much greyscale copic marker work, I thought I would post a color marker piece I just completed, just to show I *can*. This is pretty much a straight 1920s/30s pinup thing, but there was so much, I don't know, joy in the works of artists like Petty and Elvgren.
11x14, Copic markers & white ink.
This'll be the cover of a sketchbook of mine, and I plan to have the original art above for sale at Heroes Con if anyone wants to stop by and buy it.
Huh... well that's a curios spazzyface expression she's got there... nice classically captured costume though, though I also wonder why her utility belt is so loose...
This is amazing! I love the pose and the overall anatomy! The colours are vibrant and full of life, pretty much like her entire attitude! Congratulations!
A white acrylic ink. I use a small brush to apply in strokes or dabs. It's very thin, so I let it set a bit before I start working with it, or apply multiple coats.
Very cool. I'd been using small dabs of white acrylic paint, and then white charcoal pencil, but I'm loving your results with the ink. I shall have to try.
