This is one of two base cards I completed for Bad Axe Studios' Bombshells: Women of War trading card set. Its COPIC markers, COPIC sepia & black multiliners, acrylic paint, colored pencils, and white ink on 9x12 off-white medium strathmore drawing paper.
I based the piece on the early 70s "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree" song, Written by Irwin Levine and L. Russell Brown and recorded by Tony Orlando and Dawn. I'm specifically referring to the first verse:
I'm comin' home, I've done my time
Now I've got to know what is and isn't mine
If you received my letter tellin' you I'd soon be free
Then you'll know just what to do if you still want me
If you still want me
