This is the first of my APs that I completed. The client wanted a dark, ominous image with missiles firing at Galactus. A lot of the finer ink lines and gradations in the finished piece seem lost or pulled back in the scan (it's actually much more contrasty, for example.), but I think the overall affect still shows nicely. The light-through-gas-cloud supernova effect came across better than I expected, so sweet on that. :)

EDIT: Holy crap! I just saw this little thing received a Daily Deviation! Thank you :icongrandpahades: and :icondust-bite:, whomever you are. Just a little more detail on the piece: It's about 3x4 inches across, and is an Artists Proof card from the recent Marvel Universe trading card set. Here's a look at the process of creating it:



Warm and cool grey Copic markers, with color highlights on official Marvel cardstock.

i've got to say, this is a lot way better than i see in any deviations with vector. this is only done with copic and yet it defeated all vector linearts out there.
